Exploring emerging VR technology for our eLearning platforms.
VR and AR are poised to revolutionise the learning experience. At IKON Training, I have been exploring the use of these immersive technologies to create realistic and engaging training scenarios. These technologies provide learners with hands-on experience in a controlled environment, significantly enhancing skill acquisition and retention.
AI is transforming how we personalised learning experiences. By better analysing learner data, these technologies can provide customised content and feedback, adapting to each learner’s needs and pace. This personalised approach not only improves engagement but also ensures more effective learning outcomes. I am excited about the prospect of integrating more AI capability into our learner processes.
Demonstration of AI-powered image-generation automation I integrated within the CRM. I subsequently deactivated this as the creation of images needs to be part of a wider sustainability policy, which I am developing.
Charts and reports generated from data analytics tools used in our eLearning platforms.
Data analytics plays a pivotal role in understanding learner behaviour and improving educational strategies. By leveraging data analytics, we can identify trends, measure effectiveness, and make informed decisions to enhance the learning experience. My role involved implementing analytics tools to track learner progress and outcomes, providing valuable insights for continuous improvement.
Gamification is a powerful tool to increase learner engagement and motivation. By incorporating game elements such as points, badges, and leader-boards into our eLearning platforms, we create a more interactive and enjoyable learning experience. This approach has proven to be highly effective in maintaining learner interest and enhancing knowledge retention. I look forward to developing these tools further to apply Scenario-Based Learning Opportunities.

To future-proof our educational offerings, it is essential to remain agile and open to innovation. This involves not only adopting new technologies but also continuously evaluating and refining our pedagogical approaches. My work at IKON Training is centred around this principle, ensuring that we are always at the forefront of educational technology and providing the best possible learning experiences for our users.
I am excited about the endless possibilities that emerging technologies bring, particularly the growth of AI-powered authoring tools. They have the potential to create more personalised, engaging, and effective learning experiences, provided they are used responsibly and that the final product is human-authored. As we continue to explore these technologies, our focus will remain on enhancing learner outcomes, improved operational efficiency, and preparing our learners, and our trainers for the challenges of the future.
Reflecting on my CMALT and my wider CPD journey, I realise the importance of lifelong learning and staying current in a rapidly evolving field. My commitment to CPD, through online learning, conferences and networking, has not only enhanced my skills and knowledge but also contributed to my ability to innovate and implement effective learning technologies.
